Wax Therapy - Wax Therapy paraffin therapy is quite common and widely used to aid in the treatment of conditions such as Arthritis, Bursitis, Eczema, Fibromyalgia, Fibrositis, Inflammation, Muscle Spasms, Overworked/Fatigued Muscles, Psoriasis, Scar Tissue, Stiff Joints, Tendonitis & Tennis Elbow etc.

1.      Increase blood supply

2.      Reduces pain

3.      Generally used for smaller muscle groups

4.      After fracture to relieve pain

5.      Improves skin conditions following Plaster of Paris

6.      Adhesions and scars are softened and facilitation of mobilization

Short Wave Diathermy - Acute lesions are better treated with pulsed shortwave diathermy. Sub-acute or chronic conditions respond best to continuous shortwave diathermy which, when used properly, can be as effective as ultrasound. Continuous shortwave diathermy can help to relieve pain and muscle spasm, resolve inflammatory states and reduce swelling, promote vasodilatation, increase the compliance of connective tissue, increase joint range and decrease joint stiffness.

  1. Reduces inflammation
  2. Reduces bacterial infections
  3. Relieves pain
  4. Reduces healing time
  5. produces muscle relaxation
  6. Also used in case of muscle and tendon tears
  7. Used in arthritis like Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis
  8. Inflammatory conditions like Boils, Carbuncles etc.
  9. Increases blood supply

Ultrasound Therapy - Ultrasound treatment of a painful muscular condition known as myo-fascial pain is an effective therapy, which consists of injecting painful places in the muscle called trigger points. Ultrasound therapy is comparable to trigger point injections and should be offered as a noninvasive treatment of choice, especially to the patients who want to avoid injections.

  1. Used in recent injuries
  2. For inflammation reduction
  3. For scar tissue mobilization
  4. To reduce oedema
  5. To relieve pain

Interferential Therapy - Interferential electrical stimulation's is a unique way of effectively delivering therapeutic frequencies to tissue. Interferential stimulation is concentrated at the point of intersection between the electrodes. Interferential Stimulator current perfuses to greater depths and over a larger volume of tissue than other forms of electrical therapy.

  1. Relief of pain
  2. Motor stimulator
  3. Adsorption of exudates
  4. Reduces oedema
  5. Stress incontinence
  6. Contraction of pelvis floor muscles

Laser Therapy
- Laser Therapy is used for pain relief in patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. It has been proven to significantly reduce the level of pain symptomatic with a number of ailments.

Infra-red therapy

  1. Relief of pain
  2. Reduces inflammation
  3. Produces muscle relaxation
  4. Increases the blood supply
  5. Reduces inflammation of recent injuries
  6. Promotes healing

Traction –

  1. To relieve herniated disc pressure
  2. Relieve impingement from spinal stenosis
  3. To relieve joint pain
  4. To relieve muscle spasm and guarding
  5. Discogenic pains
  6. Post compression fracture
  7. Menisci blockage

TENS

  1. Reduces pain
  2. Chronic conditions like arthritis
  3. Reduces oedema
  4. Effect on cutaneous circulation
  5. Effect on autonomic system

Muscle Stimulator

  1. Stimulation of sensory nerves
  2. Stimulation of motor nerves
  3. Effects of muscle contraction
  4. Stimulation of denervated muscle
  5. Produces chemical effects
  6. Re- education of muscles for example tendon transfers
  7. Training of new muscle action
  8. Neuropraxia of motor nerve
  9. Severed motor nerves
  10. Improves venous and lymphatic drainage
  11. Prevention and loosening of adhesions
